PERFORMANCE
In order to activate full drive power on demand, the i5 eDrive40 (with the optional M Sport package) feature a “Boost” shift paddle near the left steering wheel spoke. Pulling the paddle for more than 0.8 seconds triggers a Sport Boost indicator on the Information Display, indicating a high level of power requested by the accelerator pedal for maximum acceleration. Simultaneously, the Iconic Sounds Electric sound changes to SPORT. Additionally, the Launch Control function, standard on the i5 M60 xDrive with the M Sport Package Pro, is also available for the i5 eDrive40. It enables extremely dynamic acceleration from standstill through precise coordination of the drive and traction control systems.
